“Recent Movement in Life Innovation towards Industrialization”
Kanagawa – Baden Wurttemberg Seminar was held at Tonomachi King Sky Front Management Center, Kawasaki, Kanagawa, Japan on 10th October 2018 under the theme of “Recent Movement in Life Innovation towards Industrialization” with the aim of introducing recent initiatives in the field of life science in Japan and Germany and exchanging opinions.
In addition, Kanagawa Prefecture has signed MOU with Baden-Württemberg State in Germany and has built cooperative relations in the life science industry.
And also, Dr. Hirohisa Uchida of President KSP, Inc. is the representative of Japan for Baden-Württemberg State Government.
From Japan side, Mr. Kenichi Oki of Director of Life Sciences Innovation Healthcare New Frontier Promotion Headquarters Office Policy Bureau, Kanagawa Prefectural Government made a speech “ The Healthcare New Frontier policies of Kanagawa Prefecture ”. And then, Mr. Katsuhito Asai of CEO, Gene Therapy Research Institution Co.,Ltd and Mr. Kenichi Nogami, Co-CEO, Metcela Inc. introduced each company’s profile. Gene Therapy Research Institution Co.,Ltd and Metcela Inc. are tenants of KSP Biotech Lab in Life Innovation Center.
From Germany side, the speech was made by Mr. Axel Lohse of German Trade and Invest (GTAI) with the theme of “ HEALTH MADE IN GERMANY: supporting the creation of a strong German-Japanese network within the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries. ”. And the speech was made by Dr. Rolf Schmid of former director at center for bioprocess engineering, Stuttgart university with the theme of “ BW’s R&D initiatives in pharmaceuticals and biotech including some initiatives for future interactions. ”.
